Let, present age of son be 'x'

So, 10 years ago, age of son was 'x - 10'
" " " " mother was '2x - 10'
ATQ,
2x - 10 = 3(x - 10)
= > 3x - 2x = 30 - 10
∴x = 20 Ans.
